UPTET 2026 Exam Date Announced — 2, 3 & 4 July 2026

UP Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC)

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has officially released the UPTET 2026 notification. The exam is scheduled for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th July 2026 for both Primary (Class 1-5) and Upper Primary (Class 6-8) levels. Candidates who wish to become government school teachers in Uttar Pradesh must qualify this exam.

Vacancy Details

UPTET is an eligibility test for teacher recruitment in Uttar Pradesh government schools. It is conducted for two levels: - Paper I: Primary Level (Class 1-5) - Paper II: Upper Primary Level (Class 6-8)

Eligibility

Paper I (Primary Level): - Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks AND 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR - Graduation with B.Ed

Paper II (Upper Primary Level): - Graduation with at least 50% marks AND B.Ed, OR - Graduation with B.El.Ed (4-year course)

Age Limit: As per UP government norms

  4. Fill in personal and educational details
  5. Upload photograph, signature, and category certificate (if applicable)

Paper I (Primary Level): - Child Development and Pedagogy (30 questions) - Language I - Hindi (30 questions) - Language II - English/Urdu/Sanskrit (30 questions) - Mathematics (30 questions) - Environmental Studies (30 questions) - Total: 150 questions, 150 marks, 2.5 hours

Paper II (Upper Primary Level): - Child Development and Pedagogy (30 questions) - Language I (30 questions) - Language II (30 questions) - Mathematics/Science OR Social Studies (60 questions) - Total: 150 questions, 150 marks, 2.5 hours
