DESGPC (SGPC) Assistant Professor and Lecturer Recruitment 2026: 268 Posts

Total: 268 Assistant Professor / Lecturer vacancies on adhoc basis distributed district-wise across DESGPC colleges in Punjab. The break-up is 257 Full-Time positions and 11 Part-Time positions; the subject-wise and college-wise distribution is given in the official advertisement.

Educational qualification: A minimum of 50% marks in Graduation and 55% marks in Post-Graduation in the relevant subject from a recognised university. UGC NET or Ph.D in the relevant subject is preferred.

Language requirement: Candidate must have passed Punjabi up to Matric level.

Nationality: Indian citizen. Sikh candidates should not be PATIT.

Other: Women candidates may be preferred for posts in Girls Colleges. Age and other norms are as per SGPC management rules.

Registration fee for all categories: Rs. 500, payable online during application.

2. Read the detailed advertisement carefully before filling the form.
3. Register and complete the online application using a laptop or computer (mobile is not supported).
4. Pay Rs. 500 registration fee online.
5. Submit the application before 06-05-2026 — applications by post or by hand will not be accepted.
6. Take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.

Final selection is based on performance in a Written Test and / or Interview. The Written Test / Interview schedule will be announced on the DESGPC website on 08-05-2026. No TA / DA is paid for the interview.
